Context

As part of our mission to assist companies in selecting their talent to build a successful and efficient team, Anywr is recruiting for an organisation in the agricultural sector, a Executive Director (M/F) .

Reporting to the Executive Board, you will be responsible for the overall administration and management of the administrative and operational functions of the organisation. You will define the strategic vision of the organisation under the supervision of the organisation's Executive Board and be responsible for its implementation and results.



Mission

  • Develop and implement strategic plans that meet the operational goals and objectives created in partnership with the Executive Board;
  • Ensure that rigorous fiduciary controls are in place to monitor the use of the organisation's resources;
  • Ensure commitment and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations throughout the organisation;
  • Work closely with the Finance Directorate to ensure the transparency and efficiency of the organisation's overall financial and administrative functions and resources;
  • Submit annual budgets to the Executive Board for approval in line with the organisation's work plan;
  • Oversee the management and implementation of all the organisation's contracts, following cost-effective institutional procurement systems and practices;
  • Effectively manage the risks to the organisation's portfolio and operations, including the development of rigorous management and communication systems to ensure the timely implementation of and strict compliance with Executive Board decisions and other policies of the organisation;
  • Create a positive work environment that facilitates collaboration and information sharing and attracts, retains and motivates diverse talent;
  • Build positive relationships with key stakeholders, including shareholders and government agencies;
  • Proactively address challenges in the internal and external environment to protect the company's interests;
  • To represent the organisation before any competent authority at the request of the Executive Board.


Profile

  • Bac + 5 or Master in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Economics or Agronomy;
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar position or in a management position in the agricultural sector;
  • Have a thorough knowledge and solid experience in the agricultural sector (cashew, coffee, cocoa, oil palm, etc.);
  • Proven ability to develop and implement effective strategic plans;
  • Have a thorough knowledge of good management and governance practices;
  • Exceptional people, financial and systems management skills and a proven ability to motivate and lead a multi-disciplinary management team to achieve the organisation's objectives within a risk sensitive implementation framework;
  • Have a thorough understanding of financial strategies and performance indicators related to finance;
  • Be familiar with partnership models, both in funding and programme implementation;
  • Strong verbal and written communication, presentation and relationship building skills;
  • Bilingual (good command of French and English);
  • Qualities required Entrepreneurial spirit, capacity for initiative, ability to work in a team and network, listening and negotiating skills, communication and interpersonal skills, rigour and organisation, ability to adapt, leadership.
